Start of HT and urgency to empty bladder.

Greetings to you all,

I am a newbie to all this and have been on Cyproterone for nearly three weeks then had my first of four HT Decapeptyl injections last week. I expect to commence my RT in Mid January. I have experienced no noticible discomfort or side effects during this period until last night...

I was up and down 7 times which was very uncomfortable with weak flow, mild pain and dribbling.

Q1) Is this normal during HT or is it a symptom of 'Flare'?

Q2) If it is common, how long should I expect it to last?

Q3) Is there anything I can take to limit this problem?

P.S.  All seems normal now - mid afternoon...!

Thanking you for any info,

Tom

Any problems with flare should have been avoided by taking the Cyproterone - speak to your GP tomorrow just in case you have a urine infection.

Lyn,

Many thanks for your prompt reply to my query and welcome to the club.

Today is another day as they say and am happy to report a good night's reat was had last night. Only one trip to the loo with good flow, so I must presume the previous nights events were a one-off!
