Thanks Steve and John , yes that was partly my reason for posting, to give others encouragement, something my husband and I both needed in bucket loads at the beginning of the year.
If you read my other thread it will give you the background to our story, I don't know where it's disappeared to now as it was on the *old* site ?
Just to say although my husbands pc was caught in it's very early stage , it didn't stop us worrying right up to the point of his op.
Even though his histology report was (in his surgeons words) *excellent* requiring no further treatment other than regular blood tests , you still worry about things, I think that's only natural.
Also for the first couple of months following his op my hubby was leaking like a sieve and it was really getting him down because at the time he couldn't ever see himself getting back to normal. However with encouragement from both his specialist nurse and members of this forum he carried on doing his pfe's and each day he saw small improvements, until one day he was sitting watching the telly and it suddenly dawned on him that he hadn't leaked all day, he was overjoyed !! Lol......so, anyone out there who has recently had the op or about to have the op my message would be, there IS light at the end of the tunnel.
