Hi Michael,
Saw your post on the other thread. Do you have an ED nurse? If not, who prescribes your tablets? And you say you have tried all the tablets but which ones - I imagine you have had Viagra and Cialis but have you tried Levitra yet?

Sadly, the tablets don't work for everyone so you may need to ask your ED nurse or GP to prescribe Caverject injections or muse (which comes as pellets or cream). If you go down the injection route, the nurse should show you how to use it before you are let loose!

If the erection doesn't last very long with the pump you are either not using a tight enough ring or not getting a good seal before you slide the ring from the tube to your penis - do you trim your pubic hair and use plenty of KY jelly where the tube meets your skin? If the next size ring is too tight, try a combination of rings - many find that 2 rings works better than one.

M

You do not say if you were nerve sparring or the type of surgery you had. I had Da Vinci 14 months ago and was "supposedly" non nerve sparing, my ED consultant put me on sildenafil a few weeks later my surgeon said it was a waste of time as he had not spared the nerves.

A few months later after describing movements down below he put me on daily 100 mg of sildenafil and Said he did not deliberately spare the nerves but obviously some had survived.

Results on sildenafil have been varied but promising, sometimes coming 12 hours later after a warm shower the next morning.

On monday I should get my muse pellets.

As one of our members has pointed out it can take three years to get back to normal.

It has also been mentioned that anxiety can also be a problem.

Thanks Chris

That's an important point Chris. In our house, Viagra takes about 3-4 hours to work and Levitra is quicker at 1-2 hours. Cialis tended to work the next morning. I wonder if it is always explained to men not to expect an erection 10 minutes after swallowing!

PS Also important to take Viagra on an empty stomach

Viagra 100 gave me awful side effects , blue vision , headache , rancid heartburn indigestion. But having said that did the trick to be honest. Cialis is great but as Lyn said take 10 hrs prior then get 12 hrs action. But Levitra was the best. 20 mg. give it 2 hrs and it worked after fatty food , wine , beer , whatever , and lasted 2 hrs. I've not tried pumps but know I will go for Muse and Caverject etc when it comes round to it.
