Hi I am 12 months post 37 Radiotherapy sessions. My problem is I am still troubled by proctitis  ( think that's how it's spelt ) .....is this usual or should I be saying something to my Oncologist...I see her in 4 weeks?

Definitely mention it Shaun.

If it's what she expected then she'll reassure you.

If it isn't then she may be able to offer advice and something to relieve the symptoms.

As RT effects continue for quite a while after treatment finishes i'm not personally surprised that you are still having problems, as I always think of it as a bit like taking a boiled egg from a pan of boiling water and it continues to cook even though it's no longer on the heat.

Good luck and I'm hoping that somebody else will come along and advise you

Best Wishes

Sandra
