Useful drawings of prostate stages

I came upon this webpage that starts by describing the stages of prostate cancer and then shows drawings of each stage.

Perhaps a warning is needed for some as it might be worrying.  I often stumble upon things I wish I hadn't and to be honest during diagnosis I found this site more worry than comfort as you need to put things into perspective and that takes time.  But we're all different and each case is different.

Thanks for that Pete.

I've bookmarked it so I can refer back to it

You can show it to your brother though - it will help him understand why you are not recommended for surgery.

The site is American and not so many UK hospitals are using the new grading systems mentioned here but they do make sense and will no doubt become more common. Whichever grading system is used, John would have come out of diagnostics as T1a or grade 1 but once they opened him up he was upgraded to T3b. He was 50 as well.

Useful reference - should be made a 'sticky'
