9 Month update

Hi all, been a while but have been checking in when possible

8 months down the line and all seems to be going well, latest PSA 1.0.

Visit to Oncol today and on DRE examination was informed “that the right side of prostate was smooth but still a bit hard” for the Oncol’s likinghttp://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif, so has suggested Chemo to give it a kicking with the option of Abiraterone or Enzalutamide further down the road, later being preferred by both parties as available here.

New bone/cat scans have been requested to check progress and back in two months for results and probably looking at late July for Chemo to start.

Hope all are wellhttp://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif

Hi Steve
Funny how oncologists are isn't it? Some want to get at the problem early and some want to leave it until later, who is right? We thought we would be heading down the chemo road shortly but have a three month reprieve now and are glad of it.

Best wishes
Allison

Hi Steve

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but in retrospect I wish I had had Chemo earlier http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif

Nil desperandum

Thanks guys,

Early chemo is something that had crossed my mined, especially after reading Si's results of clearing some of the mets......here's hoping I have the same outcome.

Will have to wait for results of scans no doubt to ensure no complications and can progress as planned.

Hi Steve,

I think the jury is still out about using chemo early, but my onco seems to think if your fit then hit it with everything.

Best of luck with the scans and if it is to be chemo i hope you get a great response
