Hi Guys

I know how you like to hear good news I had my follow up appointment and PSA results today Lymph nodes clear, no rise in Gleason score still 3+4 and PSA 0.01 myself and family absolutely delighted and relieved. It has  been absolute nightmare for us all since diagnosed Jan this year. I know not out of the woods yet but all positive going forward.

Reading the conversations on this site has been a life saver for me thanks everyone

Thanks for your replies guys, this proves just how supportive the members are on this site when they take time to reply when I know from following everyone on this site there are some of you going through some really tough times at the moment. There are some really special inspirational people on this site, not just the guys who have PCa but the wives and family members who contribute and are very knowledgeable and supportive of everyone.

Thank you sounds inadequate but it comes from my heart

Hi Frank,

Can only but agree with the others, good news is always welcome and the message from your daughter is marvellous and must make you feel so proud. From my perspective it is our loved ones who probably go through the emotional turmoil far more than we do ourselves. To read a message like that truly is inspirational and I too have been uplifted by my family, my wife has been unbelievable and No 1 son has risen to the occasion not only for me but with all the others in my family who have received bad news in the past month or so.

Keep well Frank and pleased to hear that this site has helped in you getting to grips with things,

Life is for living

Well done, Frank. You are just a bit behind me. Are you sorted with cialis and/or a pump. I have written about these on Jan1971's thread.

Thanks guys had great weekend with wife, could relax for the first time in a long while, this forum is now part of my life just like living with PCa is, as you know this is only first step on journey but really positve at the moment, had prepared myself for the worst, but would have been more  able to cope after all the knowledge and information from the members on this site. Before finding this forum was feeling quite lost and down even though had support from my amazing family.

frank

ps. this is a message my daughter but on facebook which made me really proud of my family. you forget at times they are going through this emotional roller coaster ride as well.

Can't remember when I was last this happy my family has been through hell for months now but today finally some fabulous news that my dad has been told the cancer hasn't spread and all tests are clear I think I speak for me and my sister and brother when I say we absolutely ecstatic couldn't have asked for better news
We really don't say it enough but we so proud of you everything you've been through dad you just carry on don't know what we'd do without you and we love you xxx

Your children are wonderful. Yes it is very hard on our youngsters, they mainly cope pretty well all things considered, but the tension of the tests and the constant worry is there for them too. So pleased that you are able to relax and so are they.

Great news

Cheers

Hi Frank,

So glad that you have been helped emotionally and for practical advise on the forum after all this is what it is meant to do, to help us all through very tough times. I know some of us (myself included) have had our moans about the new site and how it works. So to hear that we have been of help is brilliant.

You are through the worst , the early days are so stressful and as you say this includes the whole family . So onwards and upwards know, keep going with your good news.
