Soya

Second time of trying to post. First one disappeared.

We already drink organic soya and have done for years - pre prostate cancer

I have swapped to soya yogurts, add soya to mince meat when cooking, and bought soya cheese today from Holland and Barrets.

The cheese was very expensive and appears to be very processed and "plasticky"

What other soya products do people use

Soya beans, edamame beans, soya spread, vege burgers (grilled). Tofu for me though is still a bridge too far!

Thanks flexi.

We do have the spread (yuk - not buttery is it)

Wouldn't be able to get him to eat anything that looks like a bean unless it's a baked one, or vege burgers either. That's all me.

I just wondered really where I can get a cheaper, more realistic version of soya cheese or is it all like the H & B one - wrapped in plastic in little processed squares.

Easiest way to eat edamame beans is as part of a side salad. Look for them in the frozen counter, cook then cool them and add to salad.

If questioned you can say they are a new type of pea!
