MUSE

Has anyone tried MUSE? Ive been using a vacuum device for several months, but the erection collapses as soon as I transfer to a ring. My consultant has prescribed a medication known as MUSE, which is a pellet implantable into the urethra. One comment on the forum suggests it hurts a lot, I wonder if anyone has the same experience. He did suggest that it stings, but I shrank from the offer of an injectable. I am 8 months post prostatectomy of a T3c PCa, so probably not many nerves left. MUSE is prostaglandin in a pelleted form, so bit like a topically applied cialis.

I recently had the injection which is the same drug. It made my penis throb with pain. If your GP is ok , I would try the pump but with Viagra as well. That has worked for me. Good luck

S

we have now been given muse pellets which are inserted about 50mm down the penis with an applicator, it is not as bad as it sounds, so far we have tried it 4 times;  1st and 2nd, rock hard full erection that lasted about 40 minutes and I finished up pouring cold water on the penis to reduce the erection, everyone one was happy.  3rd time not as good, we were not as focussed as it needed. 4th time not as good as 1st and 2nd but think we understood why, avoid distractions and switch the phone off.

Read the instructions fully for muse if you get it, insert pellet, roll penis between hands for ten seconds, walk around and keep stimulating for the next ten minutes and it should then be working, the man should avoid lying on his back and keep it stimulated, making love with the man standing also seems to give better erections. they do advise using a condom to prevent the stinging for the woman slight stinging for the man but not painful.

Thanks Chris

Yes that's good advice. In my post as I said earlier , I didn't get chance with my wife or stimulation etc. more or less sat in an office with a male nurse. I think it would have got fully hard but unfortunately I'm one of the ones who seems to get a lot of pain. It was my first time and I will try again but it will take some guts believe me to self-inject and remember how to mix it all up etc. it's not easy. I shall deffo try MUSE

Muse is available in different strengths. You might find you need to try low dose first and increase if insufficient .

I was told caverject , Muse and Vitaros are all Alprostadil Hilary ! I have tried injection which is normally 15 to 20 mg . The sticks ( MUSE ) are 125microgram . As for Vitaros I can only see it in 3mg form . Some members on this forum have had great success with MUSE and Caverject I think . The cream is relatively new .
Maybe ask to try MUSE next

Muse comes in 125. 250 500 and 1000 apllicators the strength is the same you just use more of it. I am not at home so cannot confirm but I started on either 1000 or 500. I think my ED consultant likes to start at the top and work down. As previous post two of the four attempts very successful two not so good for various reasons.

Cannot use any aids at the moment but with update in the future when back in action.

Thanks chris
