Results of salvage RT

I had 4 weeks of salvage RT in January following a steady PSA increase from 0.04 to 0.13 in 11 months. I received my latest test result of 0.06 today which I'm completely over the moon with but now wondering if that's a sign that PCa is still lurking. Is it possible that RT is still working and that further deline in PSA is possible?

Hello Andrew

I won't attempt to answer in case I am incorrect but this will bump the post for you in the hope that somebody more experienced can advise you

Hi Andrew,

I had RT and was told that it would continue to work and lower the PSA for at least 12 months which it has done. You should see the figures continue to fall. It's doing it's job.

All the Best,

Steve

They say it carries on working for about 18 months but if you look at Brianissac's profile, he has just had a new nadir (lowest reading) more than 2 years after salvage RT. Crack open the wine A

Thanks Bri - you've clearly had a great response to RT which I find very encouraging. Seeing onco for the first time since my treatment finished in January so it will be interesting to see what he makes of my PSA
