Focal Laser Ablation

So I am ending this thread ad starting a new one on ‘Focal HIFU’ which A has decided to opt for in London tomorrow.

It will be a day case done under general anaesthetic (A is very pleased about this as his FLA was done under local anaesthetic and the catheter tomorrow will go in whilst he is under)

In addition the procedure is being done by our monitoring professor so it’s all under the same umbrella going forward.

In 2017 we were told surgery after a HIFU would not be an option but in 2020 we are reassured by a London surgeon it is definitely on the table still and he has plenty of experience in removing treated prostates.

So decision made he wants this new tumour dealt with now and so tomorrow it is.

In Florida he got good lessons in living with a catheter which he will reuse over this London weekend. Steak and red wine has been had once again- night before a clean up food!
