My dad was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer last year and has been under going chemo. However, in the last few days he's developed a red rash (a bit like eczema) on his wrist which is also very swollen. He's also had very painful back pain which I'm sure is due to the cancer which has sadly spread into his spine and pelvic bone.
He visited the doctor today with my mum who was baffled and just suggested rubbing moisturiser on the area and re-evaluating it in a few days. He doesn't have a temperature and the area isn't hot to touch or painful.
Anyone else come across these symptoms or have any advice? I'm just concerned as the back pain and rash have appeared at the same time - could it be a blockage? He has stents in his kidneys but unfortunately the last op didn't go as planned as the cancer was obstructing one of the kidneys so they couldn't complete the procedure...maybe this is the issue?
