just had PSA

Just had my PSA done and I'm very worried. These on and off symptoms I've been having have consumed me for a good part of a month. I'm just scared that it's the worst case - PC despite the fact that there's around 1 in 10,000 chance of getting it at my age (34).

I was reading stories though of men who are young relatively speaking to get this disease and it's very scary because they tend to have a more aggressive form of the disease and one which is very difficult to treat.

Hello Winglets. Here's the deal. You have been warned twice by one of our moderators and had suggestions from other members as well. This is a forum for men (and their loved ones) with prostate cancer to get support and advice. It is not a forum for answering miscellaneous medical questions that should be addressed to your doctors or that you can find answers to via a simple Google search.

The moderators have discussed your multiple threads and decided that the best way for you to get info is to limit your questions to one thread and that will be this one. If you want to ask questions please do it on this thread and see what answers you get. Please do not start new threads for the time being or they will be deleted.

Thank you,

Jim

Having prostate cancer at your age would be very unlikely and as you have mentioned is not related to having benign enlargement. However you do seem to be experiencing a high level of anxiety and distress regarding these issues which could be affecting your daily life. We feel that your anxiety may be best managed outside of this forum and your GP will be best placed to help you with your feelings. You may also find these organisations helpful:

We do hope this helps and that you get the support you need and wishing you the best for the future.

Well said, Carol. Very much in line with my reply to an unwelcome private message from the chap.
