Anxiety over prostate cancer

I finally managed to get the PSA done yesterday, hopefully get the results soon. I am absolutely terrified though waiting for it to come.

I know it's so unlikely at my age but ever since my doctor found my slightly large prostate I have really been struggling to hold it together.

Having prostate cancer at your age would be very unlikely and as you have mentioned is not related to having benign enlargement. However you do seem to be experiencing a high level of anxiety and distress regarding these issues which could be affecting your daily life. We feel that your anxiety may be best managed outside of this forum and your GP will be best placed to help you with your feelings. You may also find these organisations helpful:
