Hi, My father was recently diagnosed with prostate Ca, at the time they also said it had spread and they knew this from blood results from his liver which showed "increased bone function". Therefore as well as the CT scan he had a bone scan.

The great news is they have now completed the investigations and said that the scans were clear for any spreading including bones. I'm just confused how this is after bloods showed otherwise, just overthinking here that something is missed. The final diagnosis was not done in person so could not ask why. Has anyone else experienced this?

His ALP must have been raised which usually indicates bone mets or soft organ spread. However, there are sometimes other causes such as the kidneys not functioning well.
