Restless Legs causing sleeplessness

Does anyone know what to do for restless legs. My poor husband can’t sleep and it’s really stressing him out

Has he been checked recently to make sure he isn't iron deficient? If his iron levels are okay, it may be due to the treatment he is on or just another symptom of the fatigue he is experiencing.

You could phone the specialist nurses at PCUK (phone number at the top of this page) to get some advice about both the fatigue and the restless legs.

I see from your profile that your husband has advanced prostate cancer and also liver cancer. Did you mean that he has prostate cancer that has spread to his liver - or does he have two different cancers? If you could tell us what treatment he is having now and what he has had in the past, that will helps us all to help you.

Thanks. He is on prostap injection and dexamethadone 2mg and are due to see the consultant tomorrow for the results of the liver biopsy and bone scan. They are unsure if the cancer is a spread, or if it’s a completely different cancer in the liver 😞. This we will find out tomorrow.

The fatigue could even be anemia so the gp says, so may need some blood or iron tablets. I guess I was just wonder if anyone else had experienced restless legs linked to prostate cancer treatment
