Hi All


I can't get a pump on the NHS so bought a cheap one from amazon. It has a squeezy ball type of pump which is no longer working properly.

Anyone know where I could buy just the actual pump part? Or any recomendations for a new pump? I know the somerect is popular but a bit expensive.

Any advice would be appreciated

Ann Summers or Lovehoney do cheap pumps which are perfectly ok for general daily use and maintaining erectile tissue. If you need a pump for penetrative sex then you need a good pump with good rings like the somaerect which can be bought from imedicare. Not sure why you can’t get one on prescription??

Still very early days for you I see. I can’t stress enough that regular use of any pump is absolutely essential to keeping erectile function. I’m 3 yrs post op but still use it 3 or 4 times a week whilst having a shave. My function is near enough perfect and normal but I still have 5mg daily Cialis. I’ve not dared trying to stop it yet lol. I may get slated for saying this , but generic Cialis is widely available from many websites. I wasn’t prescribed it for ages so I bought it myself and cut 20mg tablets up into 4 pieces. I don’t know how your finances are , but for me Cialis was the cure , with time and patience of course. Also the Invicorp25 injection is marvelous for me and others. Obviously seek medical advice if you try any of these re existing conditions etc. And get another pump !! Don’t give up

Any pump is better than no pump. The Osbon and the Soma are the Rolls Royce of pumps, but a Ford Escort Pump will get you there warm, dry, quicker than walking just like a Rolls, maybe not so luxuriously.

Forget brand names. Think about the task in hand, getting blood flowing to the regions I heard some months ago about someone else who could not get a pump on the NHS, improvised with a Hoover. Same principle applies. Put the bits in a tube. Create a vacuum. The bits seek to fill the vacuum.

And on the meantime,e there are pretty of exercise that you can do without kit to help your rehab.

What ever you do, don't give up on the playing and the manipulation. If you are going to have any success then early days stimulation is important.

I still use mine religiously nearly 4 yrs on yet have natural erections anyway. At your stage you should use it everyday for as long as you can be bothered. A cheap pump pulls a good vacuum, but the professional ones come with the extremely tight constriction rings which allow for penetration. I didn’t really like using it for sex , but it kept my fella a really good shape and size while he was naturally mending

I cant get one on NHS because I'm not from the UK. Im from one of the Crown Dependencies, so still British. Our Health System kind of follow NICE guidelines but only if it suites. So I cant get a pump or Cialis.

I live in the Prime Minister's constituency and couldn't get a pump on the NHS. It depends on the area in which you live!

Hi Chris

Thanks for the advice and incouragement. I am going on hols on Thursday so will check out the pumps and sort it when I get back. I'll manage with my old cheapy until then, As for the meds I am prescribed 16 x 100mg Viagra every month and a couple of months ago noticed some beginnings of improvement, so will persevere a while longer.
I have read many of your posts/replies on this subject so know how you feel about ED.
To me the effect on sex life is important enough but apart from that there is just something missing in life without erection.

Ulsterman: You should be eligible for the VAT if in Berkshire! A joke I know - National HS? Not really it's a postcode lottery - if you know someone in Oxfordshire - it can be got for free when ordering online I think. Possibly Bucks too (the Boundary is a mile or two  from where I live)


 


Why should it matter where you live .....

Im not giving up, putting a lot of effort into regular excercise. My cheap pump was fine, it came with rings as well but the squashy ball type pump started to split. Ive ordered one for a fuel pump which lm sure will do the trick nicely.

Not sure about trying the vacuum cleaner just yet though!

I am.exptecting A pump from my local pharmacy that has been prescribed by my ED,Clinic and GP.


During the ED appointment I was told by the expert that I must use the pump 14 days religiously. Than after that it would be up to me to use it or not. 


I wonder that do you have any idea why I was advised to use it (is a must) only 14 days?


Also What is the difference of medically prescribed pumps and The one you can get from Anne summer stores?

5mg daily Cialis causes really bad acid re-flux, someone a while back recommended some sort of anti acid tablet other than gaviscon.


what works well and is it by prescription or over the counter?

I was given a PPI protein pump inhibitor on prescription. It is called Pantoprazole and now I can eat anything lol. They normally start you on cheapest Omeprazole but that gave me the runs big time

Do you have to use the ring as soon as your pipi (little fella)gets hard or what?


 


Also during pumping session do you stop for blood flooding or not ?if so during that do you keep your pipi in the vacuum or taking out than putting back start pumping it again?
