Biopsy yesterday!

Good luck tomorrow Andrew.

In terms of your question, probably fine for you to just message your partner when you’re ready to be picked up afterwards.

Every hospital’s different, some much more/less efficient than others. My experience was getting to a call time early afternoon and not being biopsied until I was the last one of the day at 4.30/5ish.

Others will have had more in n’ out experiences for sure. If I had mine again, I’d definitely take my EarPods and have a podcast or some tunes in my ears for much of the waiting time - particularly the second waiting room when it’s nearer my time to go in. I just think it’s nicer to be in your own bubble than have small talk or be listening out to others.

Go well, another poster used a wise phrase “leave your dignity at the door” when it’s your turn - I’d echo that. It’s an uncomfortable procedure but once you’re about ten mins into it, it doesn’t get any more uncomfortable. For me it was on a par with a root canal or a tooth extraction. Not fun, but not horrendous.

I had some post procedure bleeding, others don’t; some walked out fine, others walked out like John Wayne after he’d ridden across the Wild West. 😄

You’re getting it done, that’s the main thing.

Thank you, that's most helpful.

Hope you got on alright and recovering fine from the biopsy?

Hey, thanks so much for checking back in.

Procedure went as expected - descriptions on this group and in Julian's video were brilliant in ensuring no suprises. A great team, very clear in telling me what they were doing. RnB rather than Elton John, but we coped. And a good choice of biscuits.
The blood in pee seems to be within the expected amounts, so nothing alarming there. I'm a little surprised, however, to be still feeling a bit weary two days afterwards. I had a normal day yesterday, nothing more strenuous than walking the dog, cooking a curry; but noticed at the end of the day how tired I was, and so I've actually given myself a sofa day today. Not completely wiped; but definitely a bit low-energy.
Do we think that's a normal reaction?

Sounds like the blood in pee is all normal. Gotta say - but apols if this is TMI - I was more wide eyed at how long it took for the blood in semen to dissipate, I hadn’t been warned about that (not much talked about) apart from by the specialist after the biopsy 🙈 - however he said he “clipped a pipe” so I think my bleeding was a bit more than normal from what I’ve could gather. Normal service resumed a few weeks later at least.

In terms of your fatigue, maybe you did a bit more after the procedure without realising it and it’s caught up with you a bit. I recall I rested for about 2 days after mine and felt alright after that. But not everyone gets that luxury. Definitely keep drinking plenty of water to flush things through.
