Many thanks Gus37 for all your posts in this thread. I'm in a very similar position to how you were at the beginning of your journey. Coincidently I had also read the American outcomes study too! That and your thoughts have helped me immensely in getting to grips with the treatment decision I'll have to make shortly. I'll post up my own bio and thread so as not to steal your thunder! I do hope your recovery goes well.

Glad its been some help.

I had RARP last thursday, I didnt go for Brachy in the end as I was told i'd need 6 months HT, 3 months before and 3 months after. The idea of not dealing with it sooner, and the side effects I read about with HT put me off.

Good luck with your decision and journey. :)

Something else I thought I'd share, it won't be everyones cup of tea but I have found it hugely helpful. I subscribe to Chat GPT4o and I started to use it for help/advise/information about PCa and all the different pathways etc we are able to take. It gave me very good (and I now know accurate) advice, and even a little counselling when I was flapping a bit... like I said it won't be for everyone, and you need to get everything verified but it has certainly helped me enourmesly.
