Hi chaps
I haven't been on this board for a while - nothing untoward healthwise but for some reason my computer would not load the site properly and I found it impossible to post anything. However, I seem to have proper access today, so hope this works.
My last PSA test was in June, one year after the op. The good news is that the PSA level was still undetectable. The next test and appointment is booked for 22nd September (with the specialist nurse rather than with the consultant or one of the doctors - another encouraging step, hopefully).
As you know, urinary incontinence has not been a problem for me and that remains the case. The ED battle is being won. The sildenafil is working and, with proper stimulation, I can get a strong and sustainable erection. In fact, I have woken up some mornings with a real stiffy.
I can't recall if I mentioned this before, but a side effect of the sildenafil has been a deterioration in my sense of smell. The consultant said that he had never come across this before but that nasal congestion was a noted, but infrequent, side effect. However, I can certainly live with that trade-off!
Best wishes to you all.
