Come ON Every Body Get On Board The Soul Train

They say Music is the food of love, last year we all joined in naming our favourite songs. Songs that made us smile, laugh, cry and just plain silly. It doesn't matter what your taste in music is, just join in.

It brought us all together and I felt with all of the issues that we have had with the new forum that something like this would help  bring the feeling of camadaree back . (I knew I would spell that wrong). There are many of us going through hard times at the moment so for everyone on the forum join in, jump on board the Soul Train.

I'll start. You don't have to dedicate to anybody, I am just doing it because I want to.

To TG this is a song that I dedicated to him ages ago, he will remember it. One of his favourites

MOON RIVER

To Mo from Mick.

JUST CALL MY NAME AND I'LL BE THERE.

To Si, I couldn't resist this.

DEM BONES DEM BONES DEM DRY BONEShttp://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif

For Trevor, it had to be .

SOUL MAN

and EVERYTHING I DO I DO FOR YOU.

For Bri what else but the HAPPY SONG. Every time I hear it I picture Bri's face, of course that was when I thought you were Tom Cruises twin.http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif Si blew your cover. I actually believed it.

So come on the pca gang, jump on board.

Lovely post Julie,

Thought i would add mine for the PCAUK forum

Meat Loaf "if it ain't broke break it"http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif

Pretenders "Where has everybody Gone"http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif

Police "So Lonely"http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif

Cher "if i could turn back time"

So i had a thought, we keep waiting for all of the changes but in the meantime more are drifting away. So since i was diagnosed 2 friends did the Great north run, the girls school donated money, our local Tesco did a cake sale and three friends have signed up for next years London marathon all for PCAUK.

So i thought technically the forum is mine http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif so not wanting to come across as a dictator and as i love living in a democracy i would put it to the vote so, Hands up if you think it should be mine

i won its mine http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif, come on PCA lets get it sorted PLEASE xxxx

Great idea,

I've soooo many fave tracks. Just posting them as they have the emotional impact of making me sing, smile & remember nice things. Just looked at my 'most listened too' on my iTunes. These are from my aptly named 'dad mega mix' which the kids reckon is the Most naff collection of boring songs in the world. I disagree obviously.

I mostly play these in the car, full whack on the way home and sing (or shout) loudly. Either way, generally blasts away the blues and get the blood flying through my veins. Here they are in order of most played:-

1. Madness - must be love

2. Billy Idol - white Wedding

3. Everybody wants to rule the world - Tears for fears

4. Breakfast at Tiffanys - Deep blue something

5. A New England - Billy Brag

6. The La's - There she goes

7. Pulp - common people

8. Carly Simon - You're so vain ( love this one :-))

9. One day like this - Elbow

10. The Cure - close to me.

Just off for a run (with my earphones on obviously singing to the above as I go)

I still think that "Booker T and the MG's Time is Tight" should be apt, or to go back even earlier how about Stomping at The Savoy !
