Hernia?

Hi guys.

2 1/2 weeks after surgery (LRP) Catheter out. Wearing 1 pad if I go out, none around the house & one at night, although touch wood I've had no accidents since the first day.

All good I still have a heck of a wound to the left of my abdomin . Coughing, sneezing or laughing is a nightmare & I usually have to reach out and hold something to stop me bending double.

Lying in bed this evening on my right side, I noticed a small ball feel under the scar, like a large marble size. It dissapears when I roll onto my back.

Could this be a hernia???

Life's a Marathon. Run in peace.

Carlos

Da Vinci op date 28 April 2014

I still have a small lump under the wound above my belly button which I believe was the main input output port.

It does not disappear when I move round.

I still get abdominal discomfort when sneezing slightly less when coughing and also when sitting up from lying down.

If in doubt get it checked.

Good news with the continence, keep it up.

Thanks Chris

Hernia is a recognised risk after RP so best to see your GP and get it checked.
