I was diagnosed with PC in March 2014. Gleason 9. PSA 9 pre surgery. Following RP diagnosed as T3b, with PM. PSA< 0.001 2 weeks after surgery and at this level since. Completed I month's adjuvant RT and commenced HT. Would welcome thoughts and advice!

Hi

My diagnosis results were almost the same as yours. I am probably much older than you and I had robotic RP three years ago and have no regrets because PSA has remained less than 0.003. If your removed Prostate had negative margins you can hope to be cured. We had to adjust our life style to use of pump etc and all is well.

If you have any specific questions I will be pleased to talk about my experience if it helps.

Wish you well.

Sounds like a belt and braces approach to me Kentman. Some would argue it is over treatment but your dx puts you in the high risk category so better safe than sorry I think.

The radicals trial is trying to determine if your treatment pathway is the way to go for high risk men.

All the best
