Viagra (Sildenafil)

As posted previously I stopped taking the cialis due to the full body aches...plus it wasn't really helping though there there are times in the dead of night, why is that?

Anyway I went to see the Gp today and discussed alternatives, I have a pump but not overly keen...what a bloody art that is. So he prescribed Sildenfil 100mg...he said they are not like cialis so don't take one a day...I said speak for yourself mate lol

It seems that these are going to do the trick, I've tried one and within half an hour...... helloooo

So let see what happens now

Cheers

http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gifHi Bri

Sildenfil  (Viagra), gave me the most almighty headache on Earth and didn't work http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif

Cialis on the other hand (pun intended ) does not. We are all different and so go with what works for you. Most of the time I don't bother as I can manage without. Seven years on HT have failed to override a debauched youth and a good memory http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif

Nil desperandum

I've tried both Viagra and Cialis, but had to stop due to side effects, so its just me and the pump Vs the world,

get better results than taking the drugs, plus no side effects but takes a while to master the damn thing.  :-(

Brian

Am I right to assume you had your nerves spared ?

Thanks Chris

Thanks for posting this Bri, it's giving me some hope.

I haven't taken Viagra for some time because of the side effects. However, for a while now I have been getting the beginning of a nocturnal erection (nothing useable but definitely a thickening) and I am hoping Viagra will now work where it is supposed to! I am just choosing the right moment. I will pay the price afterwards with reflux but it would be worth it if I get a result.

If at last you have now found the right remedy for you then I wish you all the very best. Keep smiling!

Hmm. ..I have been having some reflux today..but no head or body aches
Nerves were spared Chris. ..ive had some stirrings before particularly in the wee hours...but yesterday was a good result...I'm hoping I will only have to use short term to give things a boost

Ahh the days of Viagra and Cialis. I used both in an attempt to overcome ED before I got PCa but had little impact. I found Viagra effected me more with side effects, headaches and a hotness and the planning to use it more circumscribed but Cialis was fine to take. Pity they were ineffective though referral for more treatment led to my diagnosis so I suppose somewhere they were helpful.

You enjoy it and hopefully it's just a short term stimulant. Me its cocoa and bed!

My oh had dreadful reflux with the sildenafil, although Zantac worked for him. He's now on cialis low dose for the present.

In the time he's been taking these, he has been getting very itchy dry skin on his legs. I can't find mention of this in the side effects- anyone else had this, or is it unrelated coincidence?

Hi I have in past had itchy dry skin on the shins and it was when I took cialis. I didn't make the connection at the time

Hi Louise following my treatment I get dry itchy patches on my lower legs and I also have some swelling of the lower legs. I no longer take any medication and my consultant said it was probably early stages of lymphodema and I should keep an eye on it. The swelling improved with exercise but the itchyness persisted, I now use Diprobase cream (from my GP) on a daily basis and this sorts it out but if I miss it for a couple of days it returns.

Regards

John
