T2c n0m0

Hi

I just had a MRI and was told that I have 70% chance of prostrate cancer. I had a saturated biopsy on Friday and waiting for the result expected by Monday week after. MRI has graded me as t3c n0m0.

I have a burning sensation while urinating and occasional mild pain in lower abdomen because of which I insisted in being referred to an urologist. My PSA fluctuated from 3.2 9 months back to 2.9 6 months back and now is 3.6.

Any idea if it is likely that I shall get a positive result? Incidentally my father had it when he was 82 and lived till he was 95. Am 53 now and otherwise in good health.

Thanks

Regards

Dc

Hi Dc
Sorry that you have had the need to find us here.

Your medics who have all the facts have given a prediction and no one here can do better than that. In this world of ours there are no certainties and a lot of waiting around for the next test and then the next results. The only thing you can do is to hold on for your result which with a wait of just over a week is timely and prompt,

If the biopsy confirms cancer then depending on the Gleason score and other pathology from your biopsy, a T2c is potentially curable and  you could be given several options, you might find helps to get familiar with what those are, have a look at the "INFORMATION" and "WE CAN HELP" tab at the top of this page you will find plenty to go at there. Learning about your choices will help at the meeting with the specialist.

Good luck for your results
