Prostap what is it

I'm trying to sort out my travel insurance but find the forms a little confusing.

I've had a 12 weekly Prostap injection and am waiting to start my Radiotherapy after I return from my holiday.

On the medical screening it asks if you are receiving Hormone therapy....I wasn't sure if I should tick yes or no for this as the nurse who gave me the injection said it was a hormone injection....My wife says it's an anti androgen and depletes your hormones.....I think she may be right.

Suggest you look up : Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone

I'd call it Hormone treatment rather than therapy .

I'm having 3 monthly Prostap injections for 2 years now, my understanding that it is hormone therapy. There is a lot on information on the Macmillan website about Prostap that you might find helpful.

Hi Tangobunny,
If you are on Prostap then you must tick yes to the question - whether it is called hormone treatment or hormone therapy makes no difference.
