Feeling blessed

User
Posted 25 Feb 2015 at 21:58

I had my appointment at Christie's today.  PSA <0.1, they're really pleased with progression on continence and ED, and am now on 6 monthly referrals.

I'm playing good golf at the moment, my kids are doing really well in their professional and personal lives, the OH is retiring in April, we're financially sound.

To say I'm feeling lucky is an understatement.

100 years ago, or even less, I'd have been looking forward to a very unpleasant departure from my mortal life.  I'm a lucky lad.

Oh dear SF2,

You really need to concentrate on what maters in life,

your golf score.

everything else is a mere distraction.

If only! Play off 17, got down to 15 a couple of years ago, but struggled to get going last year after the op. Full of expectation for this season. Probably a bit like Hartlepool United felt in August!

Very good news SF2....

PS.......I admire your patience in trying to hit a small ball using a stick into a tiny hole that's situated several hundred yards away.... http://community.prostatecanceruk.org/editors/tiny_mce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif

Thank you.

It certainly tests your patience when you're playing badly. I try to keep calm, but there are a few Basil Fawlties about! (Think of the scene where he's hitting his car with the large branch).

Off to Christies this afternoon for the 6 monthly check, then off to see dad, and then hopefully watch Utd win in Bruges.

Admin for my mum this morning - no rest for the wicked.

Hi First time I have used the chat forum. My background is I had my prostate removed in 2012 and since then the PSA has been very low so "fingers crossed". ED has been helped by injections I found the Viagra and Muse not to be that successful but still as they say "work in progress". I am blessed to have a great supporting family and friends which frankly is all I need. So the reason why I have decided to join the forum is that sometimes I forget how lucky I am. I sometime forget about all the help and support I have had from the medical and family group. So although we can feel a bit "down" just make the most of what we have got and live it to the full !
