Hi, I'm concerned about a family member.
They had a high PSA reading after a routine appointment but after a traumatising biopsy, found that there was no cancer.
They have now been found to have a high (or increased) PSA reading again but this time requested an MRI to try and detect further evidence before jumping in for a biopsy.
There was a little confusion over whether or not the MRI scanner was the correct type but the scan went ahead and today is results day which is public knowledge.
However, it's just been revealed that he is also booked in to see a specialist cancer team and this has been interpreted by everyone to mean that he must have cancer and therefore everyone is very upset and worried.
Please can someone clarify if they would arrange for him to see the cancer team even if he didn't definitely have cancer?
Thank you.
