A year ago I had a RP, some months after I was prescribed Sildenafil and much later after a considerable amount of pushing and cajoling on my part I was upgraded to Cialis, unfortunately I suffered from serious reflux and had to stop taking them,

However on a recent hospital psa check up ( all the zeros ) this came up in conversation, it was recommended I restart the Cialis and try some medication called Omeprazole, one 10 mg per day with breakfast, its known as a proton pump inhibitor, it works by reducing the amount of acid in your stomach

I must admit I was more than sceptical but after two days, wow what a difference this has made to my life, I had always suffered from indigestion since childhood but not anymore, and the Cialis is actually working a treat, I can now retire the damn pump !

I've been taking the medication for just over a week and I cant believe what a positive difference this has made .

Thank you for that Titanic.

As a woman, I can't obviously get reflux for the same reason but I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself because the past few days have been very uncomfortable.

I do actually have Omeprazole in the cupboard and had forgotten about it so I'm off now to try that.

I use Cialis 20mg and suffered with reflux as a result also...

My GP prescribed Omeprazole 20mg one a day and it works for me too...

Still can't throw away the pump yet though...but I'm living in hope...

I recently had an endoscopy as I had discomfort as a result of reflux. They discovered I had a hiatus hernia and so I have to take this medication daily as a constant barrage of acid on the oesophagus can cause irreparable damage and even cancer of the oesophagus.

Apparantly 50% of adults will have an hiatus hernia but won't be aware of it
