Detrunorm & Diffundox

Since the start of April had this constant need to pee. Currently on Detrunorm and Diffundox (Tamsulosin).

Been a month now on the first and two weeks for the second, but still needing to pee. I can hold for an hour but then a reasonable amount.

Had urine tests, blood tests and ultrasound (found I retain too much in my bladder).

Anyone used Detrunorm and Diffundox? How long did they take to stop this 'constant need to pee' symptoms?

Do you know how much you retain in the bladder? And have they discussed self catheterisation as an option. I do this and it gives me a longish break whilst the bladder fills again and I have done this up to four times a day at its worse and currently twice a day. Just a thought!

Not been mentioned yet. Really hope to avoid that.

I think the bladder was retaining 160 rather than 30.

That's quite low so not a huge retention. I was retaining over 500 Mls! Though now around 200ml. Just in case it becomes an option don't dismiss it, the thought is worse than the reality. Always willing to talk about it if you need advice.

Hope it sorts itself out naturally.
