finding hospital criteria

User

morning

apart from the obvious of calling a hospital, does anyone know where to find info regards criteria on cancer treatment at a hospital, as if I am not offered the chemo at my next visit am considering a second opinion, but would have to be a Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire hospital

Lyn Eyr put a great post on two days ago that compares the services and standards etc of all NHS hospitals in the country. Its a fairly good site especially for comparisons. Just flick thru the last few days posts mate

I think this is the post from Lyn or the relevant part of it Chris was referring to

"Today, I noticed a poster in our local GP practice for a website and thought it might be worth sharing here. The website is provided by the national Peer Review Programme in conjunction with Macmillan - you can search by postcode, hospital or type of cancer and find out where the nearest brachytherapy or Da Vinci offer might be, for example. http://www.mycancertreatment.nhs.uk/ "

Hope this helps

Hi Nidge
I'm glad things are moving forward properly now and with a second opinion you should understand which path is right for you. Good luck with the scan

Hi Nidge,

I am in Nottinghamshire, diagnosed December 2012 and started Chemo three weeks later with great success.

Let me know if you want any contact details
