Loo Problems

Nearly 10 years now since my diagnosis, PSA 0.58, but have noticed over the last 6 months or so various problems such as:

Lots of wind, especially when passing stools.

Sometimes it is wind plus slight amount of liquid only.

Sometimes when passing wind I get a slight amount of liquid in my pants which is rather embarrasing!!.

Could this be due to the radiotherapy that I had 9 years ago, I was told that some side effects could appear years later?

Hi Roy, it certainly sounds like you have developed radiation proctitis - go and see your GP just to get checked out though. If it is radiation proctitis, the GP should be able to prescribe something to help.

Hi Roy. It's exactly what I have had and I only finished my RT three weeks ago and was told it is normal and will go in a few more weeks. No mention of coming back in years gone by.

As Lyn says go to your GP asap to get it checked out.

Hope all goes well for you
