So I had a rectal endoscopy done The surgeon , who was brilliant said that he found no lumps on the rectal wall , he said that there was a nodule on the prostate ! I am now waiting for a ultra sound scan .... If the PSA blood test is normal then , he said they may do nothing ! What next ? Can they nip the nodule out ? I asked him to do it while he was up there !! But he didn't ! ;( Good positive news that the colon is OK ! Are these nodules common ? One tiny lump , GP says rectal wall lump , surgeon says prostate lump ! Trying not to worry , but internet says 50% of nodules may be cancer !!!! Playing it down with my family , saying its all OK !!! Silently in a turmoil ! Any one had similar experiences ? Hey ho ! Tommorow another day closer to answers .....

Hi Brian, no, I don't think they will be able to nip it out. If the scan also shows a growth on the prostate, I suspect that they will offer you a biopsy to find out exactly what it is. If you were my husband, brother or friend, I would want you to have a biopsy and scan regardless of what the PSA reading is. As I said before, no point tormenting yourself with the what ifs - much better to get the test results and know what you are dealing with.
