Chris is absolutely correct in what he says above, that at 2 years your/his recovery is as good as it is going to get, some would say.
The big problem is that these "some", who "would say" can not know what happens to every man. And, the other big problem, is that these "some", who "would say", may not have to live and deal with the consequences of their words should medication be withdrawn on the basis of statistical averages.
Thank funk I am not average, the one that would be the one that would fit in with what "some would say"! . Beyond 2 years I have continued to improve, I am on Cialis daily, and Viagra for an event. For quite a while the Viagra had no effect on me, took 3 in one evening, no discernible benefit. Bizarre. No flagpole, no longed for priapism, nada, zilch, just the usual level of excitement to use, which was perfectly useable, but I fancied pushing the boundary that night. "Some would say" stop the V, maybe? However, over 2 years later, little old V is doing its stuff. Still on the daily Cialis, and hope to be for some time to come, hopefully.
At over 3 years now I am still improving. Amazing. PCa and the recovery and impact, after effects, affects us all differently.
So much may depend on how much exercise you give it after an operation. I don't see any guidance on use it or lose it anywhere here, sadly.
If you want details of exercises, pm me.

Something I was told by my ED guy last week. Sildenafil will be out of your system after 22 hours. Ciallis will take 36 hours to be expelled. Tablets taken after food will reduce the effect by 50 percent.
Like CB's recovery I am 26 months post op (the day before your op)and still improving albeit not very fast, I have been on daily sildeafil on and off for a year. Did you know pelvic floor exercises are supposed to increase the chance of ED recovery ?
I gave up PFE 5 months ago, perhaps I should restart.
Well done with your recovery.
Thanks Chris

Hilary there is no research at all to support the idea of taking sildenafil as a prophylactic - it doesn't stay in the body long enough to accumulate so I would say stop taking it twice weekly and use it for 'events' instead.
Cialis is different - it hangs around for more than 24 hours so the daily dose keeps the body constantly dosed up.
Is whatever you've got at 2 years as good as it is going to get? Not necessarily - John made his most progress between years 3 - 4. However, all the research suggests that if a man is still totally impotent at 2 years (ie, tablets & injections don't help) then it is extremely unlikely that he will ever recover.
CC, the idea of PFEs improving ED makes no sense to me at all ... I can't see any biological explanation for why that would be the case :-(
