Oh Christmas what a disaster for him (and you) but at least you got it sorted with an X-ray.

I'm sure somebody else will comment for you, i hope so anyway. I'm sorry I can't help as I don't have the knowledge

I wish him a speedy recovery

Sorry to read this Christmas. When you say palliative care only, do you mean that they are not giving him any treatment to control the cancer? Or is it that he is taking hormones but was too advanced to be offered radiotherapy or surgery? If he is on hormone treatment (and depending which hormone it is) I wonder if there would be any benefit to asking the specialist to prescribe zometa? Zometa is a bone strengthener - helpful in treating osteoporosis which is sometimes a side effect of HT.

Has anyone at the hospital told you about - or given you a leaflet about - spinal cord compression? It is a rare but very serious complication for men with spread to the sline, so may not be relevant to you. But if he has any spine mets, it is important to know the signs so that you can get urgent treatment if he ever has a problem in the future.

Hi Christmas,
What a roller coaster hey, so pleased that hubby is feeling better and the op was successful. Hoping you will get a good nights sleep tonight.😉
