Bone scan done today!

My dad his bone scan today along with his gleeson score of 9 and being told it's spread to his lymph nodes we are a little apprehensive of the results as after the scan they said they needed to do extra X-rays on his hips!!! Which we weren't told he would have to have. He starts his treatment of Bicalutamide today all of this so alien to us now the wait for the results.

It sounds as if they are on the ball Manda and you can't ask for more than that.

Xray on his hips may be a precaution?

I hope dad copes with the Bicalutamide and that it really helps.

Hi Manda

It's such a worrying time, all the waiting and not knowing the full picture. It was exactly the same for us. My OH Steve was diagnosed last month Gleason 9 with spread to spine and pelvis . Having such a hard time coming to terms with all this, but I know I have to. We have a very good family to help as I'm sure you have too.

Just keeping thinking of my hubby, five and a half years, Gleason 10 spread to lymph and bones. Still living. Fingers crossed for your dad.
