I had an up to date MRI on 24th August, I phoned the surgeons sec today as I had not heard anything, she said the surgeon will look at it and contact me if they cannot go ahead, I presume he must have seen it by now,

best wishes to you all

Paul

My husband was recently confirmed, PA 8, scores 4+3 and 3+4. Score 7 on scale. Much worse on ...think was left....but bone scan clear and mri shows no spread. The scariest thing of all is making best choice for treatment. We have so much information and I am a retired registered nurse which instead of making it easier to make a decision, is making it worse.

My husband wants the cancer gone obviously ( we have a son of 17) but he is concerned about possible urinary incontinence primarily....and then the other side effects.

It is awfully hard to make the right decision so I can understand how you are feeling. We too are new to this site but hope it helps. Good luck with your treatment journey

Paul
hope your operation went well, mine was successful I go back to the specialist on the 9 November for the full results of the prostate biopsy, have had all my staples out (around 20 yes a large cut around five inches in the end) and the catheter was removed today, however this was my biggest nightmare and getting the thing out was a relief even though I am suffering incontinence at present I hope this will pass.
Having the prostate removal was still the most sensible option for me and am sure it is for you.
Please keep us informed how you are progressing
all the best
