Hi can anyone tell me do you only get a large booklet with the title prostrate cancer a guide for men who,ve just been diagnosed after tests and a dr has diagnosed you or can you get them anywhere

Hello Stressed1 and welcome to the site.

If you go to the top of the page on this site you'll find publications and you can download a lot of information (or ring one of the nurses and ask for a hard copy)

Macmillan nurses at the hospital also have a lot of information you can get.

Best not to Google though as not all information is relevant in every case and can be quite scary.

You could also post any questions on here and one of our knowledgeable lot will be able to answer you or point you in the right direction.

I got the booklets from the Uro Oncology nurses after diagnosis. The good news is that you have landed here. I have found it to be a fantastic resource, and the members are incredibly helpful. I'm soaking up as much information as possible in preparation for my appointments with consultants.
