Tickets are now on sale for The Yorkshire Gala Ball in support of male cancer charity Orchid, which will take place at the Queens Hotel in Leeds city centre on Saturday 6th October 2017.

It's organised by Julie Romani, whose husband Joe was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which had spread to his bones, in November 2004. He was given just two years to live. The couple immediately started researching treatments throughout the world and successfully prolonged Joe’s life for more than six years, which included three years using just alternative treatments.

Julie wrote a book about her research called ‘It’s All About Cancer’ with a donation from every sale going to Orchid. Julie has supported the charity ever since and participated in a wide range of sponsorship and fundraising events.

During the last financial year, Orchid awarded research grants totalling £550,000 to teams investigating the causes, treatment and prevention of male cancers. The charity continually delivers ground-breaking achievements for male cancer patients and identifies new ways to treat such cancers.

All profits from The Yorkshire Gala Ball will go directly to Orchid. Guests can reserve individual tickets as well as tables of 10, and there are a range of corporate sponsorship opportunities currently available. The black tie event starts at 7pm with a free flowing champagne drinks reception, a sumptuous three course meal and top class entertainment. Tickets are £100 per person or £1000 for a table of 10. Anyone wanting to reserve tickets should call 07585 002386 or email office@eventsinthecity.co.uk
