Prostap Injection side effects

Given confirmation of Prostate Cancer on 7 April 2017 - Gleason 7.

I was given the choice of surgery or radiotherapy, but I chose radiotherapy, as I thought surgery was not an option for me.  I had my first Prostate 11.25 injection on 20 April and for 3/4 days the area of the injection was very red and inflamed, about as big as the palm of my hand. This started to subside and I thought it was just a local reaction which would go away.  However, after nine days, this inflamed reaction has started up again, so I wondered if anyone else had had the same reaction.

I am seeing the Oncologist for my first appointment on 16 May, so I will ask his advice as well.

Thanks

Hi Kev,
no idea on Prostap injections I'm afraid, hopefully some-one else will come along that can help on that front. Is the inflamed area also hot to the touch? If it is it could be an infection in the injection site that will need to be checked out and may need antibiotics. My daughter had this after one of her routine immunisations.
