Hi Folks,
As above another Newbie, am 57 years young.
Current status - diagnosed in July 2016.
First PSA 72. T3b N1 M0
After 6 months of ProStop, PSA is now 0.8.
I have just completed 6 cycles of Docetaxel/prednisalone.
That was rough.
I am due to begin Radio in July/ August 10 weeks of radio.
As far as I can tell, the treatment regime is current and chemo given at first discovery.
This is something thats new and didnt happen a few years ago.
Where next I ask?
I have an appointment with my Oncologist in a couple of weeks time. Is there any pertinent questions I should be asking?
I ask this as you folks have went through or are going through the regime, and know the current pitfalls and questions I should be asking.
Am not sure how I will feel after the radiotherapy, Some say its easy, another said it flattened them.
But 50 treatment sound like a lot.
As usual its the future treatment that is the unknown, which concerns me. What happens after Radiotherapy??
Anyway - just to say hi to the other members on here.
All the very best wishes.
Ade.
