Hi.
I am 67 and I lost my wife 2 years ago to cancer, and now have just been diagnosed with Low Risk Localised Prostrate Cancer.
MRI showed no definite tumour
PSA on 18/08/2016 was 7.81, and on 1/8/17 was 4.74
Histology on 22nd/8/2017 confirmed as Gleason Score 6 in 1 out of 13 cores
T0, N0, M0.
I have been recommended to see specialists to find out about three options: surgery, external beam radiotherapy and Brachytherapy, but the hospital is advising Active Monitoring at this point, an option i think I will take.
It is not life threatening at present, and am aware many more here in a far worse position than myself.
Look forward to using this forum.
