Max Viagra dose and ED

Hi All
I note a comment on a previous thread suggesting that a high dose of Viagra might be risky. My GP has prescribed me 100mg every second day. I had RRP last January with nerve sparing on the left only. Still nothing happening ED wise. Only side effects are slight head ache and red eyes for a while. Nothing in the packet to suggest any risks it just says never take more than one per day.
Does any one have further info re risk please? Or maybe better results with something else? I also use a pump daily.

I was prescribed one 100mg sildenafil per day. The only side effects were a bunged up nose and the world was blue for short time after taking them. I was supposedly non nerve sparring and although it did have some effect it was never going to solve the ED on its own. I did find having breaks from a daily dose had more benefits when restarted. It also had a positive effect on my incontinence.

Thanks Chris

Hi
You should look for the post on here called Erecting the erection. Very useful. Keep using the pump everyday whatever. Ask your GP for a change from viagra to either Levitra or Cialis etc. I started getting amazing results with daily 5mg Cialis at the 19 month post op mark. Also get yourself a small flexible cock ring that they even sell at supermarkets. They can make a big difference. Viagra is cheap and that’s why they prescribe it. 100mg is the max dose and you should only use it 3 times per week at most with 24 hrs between doses. If it ain’t working then push for something new or buy stuff off the internet yourself with GP guidance. Daily Cialis is expensive but I trialled it privately and it worked , so I demanded it !!! Don’t give up ok. Still early days for you.

Viagra doesn't work for everyone.

But worth noting that for the viagra to work, you have to be feeling randy - it doesn't just produce an erection on its own. Do you have erection anxiety / stress that could be getting in the way?

Thanks both for the advice.
I read the erecting the erection post and loads of others. I see my uro in three weeks for next psa etc... and will see what he says

Thanks

Hi

I was prescribed sildenafil without success, before being prescribed Cialis and then finally Levitra, again with no success. It may have been the pressure of having to be in the " mood". I was eventually referred to the ED clinic and was taught how to inject Caverject. Success at last using a 7.5 microgram dose with no side effects. Wish you every success in the future.

Brian.
