Ultrasensitive PSA gripes

Well I don't know if I have had good news or not. Went for a 6 month Ultrasensitive PSA and it was reported "Detectable but not Quantifiable" when my consultant pressed the lab they said they were no longer able to do upsa on site but if they had applied the old rules my reading would have been 0.025 a figure I would have been happy with as it was 0.024 6 months ago. Now waiting for another test from an external lab so I can have an "official" figure!! Makes a mockery of trying to use tge same lab for some consistency in UPSA results! ! Sorry to moan but adds to the controversy around UPSA hence I mention it here..

Bit depressing that your onco didn't know the lab had stopped doing ultrasensitive tests and has apparently not read the recent research questioning their reliability.

At least you know that your PSA is nicely low and stable - take heart!
