Starting Radium 224

My hubby starts Radium 223 in January after Enzalutamide and Abiraterone both failed .

Would appreciate any advice re what to expect and if I has managed to slow down bone mets in anyone ?

Hi Mary

My hubby John has just finished a course of six today and has done really well on it. You can get a slight increase in pain in the days after but we haven’t found that too bad. In all honesty it’s been easy for us. His PSA has gone from 12 to 78 in that time so don’t expect a PSA reduction.

Hi Mary

My hubby is about to start radium 223 March 20th at addenbrokes, I was just wondering how you’re husband is getting on?

My hub has spread to bones and lymph’s enzalutamide no longer worked, he is on steroids now PSA gone right up to 294.
