Worried about delay in starting treatment

Posted 03 Mar 2018 at 22:12
My husband has been diagnosed with secondary prostate cancer. The problem is he appears to have a clotting disorder and is on heparin injections. He has been referred to a harmotologist and he has ordered lots of blood tests which are taking ages to come back. Until he gives the go ahead the Radiation oncologist won’t starttradiation therapy. We were told this is a grade 4 cancer and I’m worried it will spread if not treated soon. My nerves are shattered. Just feel we have no control of the situation.

I would really appreciate a reply

Thank you.

Holly, what treatment did he have 7 years ago? You say this is a recurrence - what is his PSA reading? And has he had scans to see where the new tumours are?
