Just watching the bbc programme ambulance. They showed a woman undergoing chemotherapy who had potential sepsis. The ambulance staff were trying to get her admitted to a separate cubicle.
I just wondered if there was a system like ours with a hotline to the a&e oncology ward staffed24/7 by experienced nurses who will discuss your symptoms that could be potentially life threatening specifically sepsis? If they decide that your symptoms are threatening then they admit you directly to the A&E oncology ward.
I know that it has been so reassuring to discuss my husband’s symptoms with them and follow their advice, so far, so good.
But I just wondered if the same system is nationwide? If not , why not there must be action
