Hi everyone my name Is Steve I'm a newbie on here so I thought I would tell my story as I have read many posts on here that have helped me no end .

Started going to my Doctors 27th December 2017 for being tired and urinary problems this went on for a while until In February when I had to insist on full blood tests the Doctors just did not seem the point until they got the results back then they started ringing me lol .All bloods ok except the psa first score was 8.4 second was 7.6 on the 8th Feb .

Asked Doctor to do a DRE which he was not keen on doing no idea why but he did put me on a 2 week referral then things really kicked off .

5th March MRI scan

7th March results for MRI and at last a DRE muggins here said to specialist i'm ok one word answer NO.(ALWAYS TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU)as after this point I went white as a sheet and did not hear a thing lucky the GF was taking notes lol.

13th March Biopsy 12 core taken at Epsom

15th March results and met my surgeon.

Gleason 3+4

Grade group 2

T stage 2

Nstage N0

M stage M0

The surgeon had already told me he wanted to take it out but gave me three options watch and wait ,radiotherapy or as it had already been agreed by a board RRP opted for the latter.

17th April rrp op marsden all went well with the RRP but he found uterocele in the bladder (something to do with the kidney) so a bit of overtime for the surgeon .

18 th April released 2 weeks with a catheter .

1st May Cystogram  followed by TWOC .

This site has been a gold mine of information especially when I had a catheter fitted just searched for the answers on this site bloody marvellous thank you everyone hope one day I can help others on here Steve .

Next target blood results June 13th fingers crossed .

Hi Steve,

You seem to getting on fine after your operation good luck on your future journey. I am a few months further on than you at 20 months after going for Brachytherapy with a Gleason 3+4 =7 and had the choice of radical surgery or Brachytherapy. My PSA stared at 2.19 and is down to 0.44 at the last test in January with my next six monthly test next month.

Good luck in the future John.
