Have just been diagnosed with depression

As alot of antidepressants cause a lack of libido.The question is which one should I take ?if any

Prescribed citalopram.After taking for 5 days will not be taking again after reading all the negative comments about lack of sexual function and libido

Will bebcontacting doctor on Monday have looked at zyban ?

Have also got CBT on Monday

Wondering if to stay off the drugs and concentrate on the CBT

I’m only speaking for myself , but I am 51 now and have suffered with depression since I was 25. I don’t think there is any drug I haven’t had really for depression but I am now drug free as was diagnosed with Bipolar type 2. Nothing has ever affected my libido ever tbh. I guess we all different. If you read the leaflets or google you find that EVERY drug may cause ANYTHING to happen. Best go with your docs advice and see what happens

Cannot take the citalopram anymore.Had awful side effects with them.

Cannot eat ,sleep,internal shaking for hours on end, tinnitus worse,sweating excessively,legs aching.

So really worried what to do
