Hi daily
I agree with Auld Codger and Cheshire Chris
Some years ago when my PSA was rising during a hormone holiday from Prostap 3 I had a CT scan of my Pelvis, Abdomen and Chest. This came back clear except for a comment that there were a few small nodules in the lower section of one lung. My Clinical Oncologist, who is also Head of Radiotherapy, assessed this as the result of having Chicken Pox many years ago.
In 2015 I had a stomach problem and went for a Colonoscopy which didn’t work very well so I had a CT scan of the colon (CT Colonography). The scan picked up a small nodule in the base of the right lung. I mentioned to my Consultant Gastroenterologist that nodules had been picked up five years earlier by a CT scan. The latest scan was referred to a Consultant Chest Physician and was discussed at their next x-ray conference; the nodule was assessed as an inflammatory nodule without needing any intervention. I understand this nodule was probably from the same chicken pox nodules which were picked up some years earlier.
How many men have had chicken pox and perhaps have dormant nodules in their lungs?
I hope everything goes well for you and the MDT sort out the nodule issue or get an opinion from a Consultant Chest Physician.
